Have you heard the news? Dreaming Tree announced their partnership with Creative Fabrica a couple of weeks ago—and honestly, it’s a pretty sweet deal for us as crafters.
I actually discovered Dreaming Tree because of my Creative Fabrica membership, so this whole shift feels very exciting to me. Unfortunately, there were a lot of people who were very stressed out about the change, so I made this video to help alleviate some of their concerns. I feel like things have calmed down since the announcement was first made, but I still wanted to share the news with you here on my blog.

What’s Changing (and What’s Not)
Dreaming Tree is transitioning all of its cut files over to Creative Fabrica by November 20, 2025. As of now, they’ve uploaded 444 projects–including their recent June release.
You’ll need a yearly Creative Fabrica subscription to access Dreaming Tree files. This is a change from what I originally said in the video—so if you’re watching that too, just know: monthly members won’t have access to these files. Thanks to Sandra (@slcattwood) for pointing out my error.
Here’s the upside…a yearly plan is only $47, but if you were to buy all Dreaming Tree projects individually, it would cost roughly $2,400. That’s like 51 years of Creative Fabrica for the same price. Now, that’s what I call a good deal! Plus, that calculation doesn’t include all of the new files they will be releasing in the coming years.
Same Files, New Home
If you’ve downloaded Dreaming Tree files before, you’ll find everything looks the same in the zip files. The assembly video and supply list can be found on each project page. You can also access the assembly videos directly on the Dreaming Tree YouTube channel.

Licenses & Selling
If you sell your crafts, you’re probably wondering about licensing. Here’s the gist:
- You can’t resell or share the digital files
- You can sell finished, assembled products (cards, decor, etc.) made with the files
- You can’t sell pre-cut kits
- This applies even after your subscription ends—you can keep using the files you downloaded
This mirrors Dreaming Tree’s original terms and Creative Fabrica’s craft file policy.
